The seminar thesis discusses the history of environmental activism. It incorporates massive and acclaimed environmental catastrophes from the end of the nineteenth century up to now, their causes and effects. The work contains important annual environmental events, which are being celebrated throughout the world. The thesis provides the analysis of the world’s significant environmental campaigns and demonstrations. The last chapter of the seminar work is about environmental killings. According to the World Witness report - “Deadly environment” (2014) the number of killings has been increasing from the beginning of the 21st century. The most of the cases occurred in LEDCs.
