Landau problem, magnetic translations and gauge transformations.

The diploma work deals with the motion of electrons in an uniform magnetic field. Two different gauges are considered: Landau gauge and a symmetric gauge. Gauge transformation is established connecting ground state wave functions in different (symmetric and Landau) gauges. Magnetic translation operators are introduced and their explicit form is determined for both gauges mentioned above.
