Study of the microenvironment of nonaqueous reverse micelles by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy method

Nonaqueous microenvironment of reverse micelles was studied by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy method. Ortho-nitroaniline was used as a optical probe. Reverse micelles were modified by organic solvents insoluble in hexane instead of water. Different values of binding constants of ortho-nitroaniline with head groups of reverse micelles were found in the presence of organic solvents in the core of the reverse micelles.
