Design of residential buildings and a variety of GIS analysis of Tbilisi

Annotation History of Tbilisi architecture as well as history of city has experience for many centuries. Many factors has influence in the formation of Tbilisi city in the form as it is today. Today Tbilisi is the centre of south Caucasus and consequent of its convenient geographic location, while implementing many projects it took central function. Tbilisi City area experienced a permanent change. At present Tbilisi is experiencing a structural transformation and reconstruction of city planning. City development is accompanied by a city planning system, changing all of the basic parameters and elements. The problems of Tbilisi urbanization development are very difficult and acute on every level of its structure. In the first Chapter of the work is described Tbilisi as a study region its general review: Geological construction, relief, climate, surface water, landscape. In the second Chapter is submitted methodological part of the work. Usage of traditional cartographic methods, aerospace methods and geoinformation method in the mapping process of nature and social events. Also usage of large-scaled mapping, cartographic materials of topographical plans (Topoplans, Aerial photographs and satellite images, orthophotos and others). In the third chapter of the work is reflected diversity in design of Tbilisi. From the ancient time in review of Tbilisi development are mentioned European architects who worked in Tbilisi and have a great contribution in the development of the center. Review of each regional unit according to the diversity of the city project. Is discussed each project its general characterization, also is given series of maps and is made their analysis. Mainly in Tbilisi we meet detached houses, also buildings (home construction combinat – DSK, Tukhareli, Kavlashvili – Yugoslavia), European projects (i.e. Italian yards), Moscow (the same as “Khrushovka”) and modern houses, built in the last decades.
