Big data management in distributed database systems

My master thesis is about popular and new IT direction - big data and distributed systems. It's very complicated to govern big data in relational databases. In our research different methods have been examined to manage and transform such volumes. Nowadays rapid Information growth triggers many problems, hence there are request for different data govern methods to achieve simple administration and transformation. Carlo Strozzi used term NoSQL in 1998, suggesting that current NoSQL movement departs from the relational model altogether; indeed NoSQL formed as an independent data management model with very comprehensive tools and capabilities. NoSQL pioneers were well known companies: Google, Facebook, Amazon and LinkedIn. In our research we use MongoDB document database system and comparing achieved results with relational models.
